Trager Bodywork - Is Trager for you?
Trager® bodywork integrates touch and gentle, rhythmic movement to facilitate deep relaxation, feelings of well-being, and increased flexibility and mobility. Trager is helpful to treat symptoms for a wide range of conditions, including:

For those new to Trager, an initial series of three sessions is recommended to assess the results and develop a longer-term treatment plan if necessary.
What to Expect in a Trager Session
As you rest comfortably on a well-padded table, Monica's skilled, intuitive hands gently guide your body through a series of wave-like movements within your pain-free range of motion. Through lengthening, compressing, swinging and gentle, rhythmic rocking, you will experience your body moving more effortlessly and freely. As your body and mind surrender to the gentle movement, you experience the sensation of deep, pleasurable relaxation. In this state, body and mind release deeply-held tension, and new patterns of movement become possible.
During the tablework, no oils or lotions are used. You may wear loose soft clothing like T-shirts and gym shorts, or opt to wear less clothing and be draped with a sheet and blanket - whatever is most comfortable for you. Pillows of various sizes are placed under you to relieve any pressure points and provide more comfort.

Prior to or after the table work, Monica guides you to explore comfortable, free movement for yourself through Mentastics® - self-care movements that help evoke similar feelings of lightness, freedom and flexibility that you experience during the table work.
Mentastics encourage and support a new way of moving in your body, replacing former restrictive patterns. They can be used on your own to create lightness, freedom, and flexibility for yourself.
